GES completes investigation into viral Savelugu SHS meal video, takes disciplinary action.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has concluded investigations into a feeding incident at Savelugu Senior High School following the circulation of a video on social media in January. According to the Service, the findings revealed that students were scheduled to be served jollof rice with eggs for supper on the day of the incident, but the supplier failed to deliver the eggs. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, Maxwell Klu, has called for a renewed commitment to fight the illegal exploitation of Ghana’s minerals, to ensure environmental sustainability. Minerals such as gold, gravel and sand, he said, were being exploited by some unpatriotic persons at an alarming rate at the detriment of the environment and people.
